The Science Behind It
Selank acts on GABA, serotonin and dopamine. These are chemical messengers in the brain. This calms anxiety much like benzodiazepines do, but without their downsides. It also affects BDNF, a protein that helps brain cells grow. It changes how the body breaks down enkephalins (natural pain-relief chemicals). It affects the immune system too.
