Also known as: Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide
DSIP (Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide) is a small peptide made of 9 amino acids that acts in the brain. Scientists first found it in blood taken from the brains of sleeping rabbits. As its name says, it helps bring on deep, restful sleep (the delta-wave stage). It also affects stress, pain and hormone balance. People with sleep problems, jet lag or long-lasting stress use it.

In plain English
DSIP is a small peptide studied for sleep. Research suggests it may help people fall asleep faster and get more deep, restful sleep.
DSIP was first found in the blood of sleeping rabbits. No one knows exactly how it works yet. It seems to affect the brain's calming signals and the body clock that sets sleep times. It only stays in the body about 30 minutes, but its effect on sleep seems to last longer.
Good to know
Every batch is tested by an outside lab, and the report is on our Lab Results page. Sold for laboratory research only. Full details: Shipping Policy.
Time in the Body
About 30 minutes (but its effect on sleep lasts longer)
Common Dose
100–300 mcg per night
How It Is Given
Injection under the skin
How Often
Once a day
No one fully knows yet how DSIP works. It appears to affect GABA, a brain chemical that calms nerve cells. It may also help set the body clock (circadian rhythm). It seems to lower cortisol, a stress hormone. It also seems to boost deep-sleep brain waves (delta waves on an EEG test). It may ease pain and stress through its interaction with the HPA axis, the body's stress system.
Notes
Mix it the way your provider's plan says. The effects are mild and easy to miss, so judge them over 1–2 weeks of steady use. It can be used in cycles, or only when needed for sleep problems, recovery or stressful times.
It has been studied for several decades. This includes human studies on sleep, drinking problems and long-term pain. It is not approved as a medicine.
Powder: keep in the fridge. After mixing: keep in the fridge and use within 30 days.
